In this new Visionix Academy webinar, we will delve into the wide range of possibilities offered by OCT technology in optometry practices and clinics:

The webinar aims to present the functionalities that an OCT provides to optometrists-opticians.
The session will explore how to update the optometric protocol when incorporating an OCT into clinical practice, covering both the posterior and anterior poles.
Understanding how to implement these protocols will be key to detecting potential pathologies in the posterior pole and identifying the most relevant tests for fundus screening.
Additionally, we will discuss the most useful tests and protocols for detecting anterior pole abnormalities.
The webinar will feature practical examples, images, and clinical cases conducted with Optovue iVue and SOLIX OCT.

The webinar will be conducted in Spanish.

Juan Bolívar Parra, DOO, FIAOMC, IACMM
- Graduated in Optics and Optometry (DOO) from the University of Granada in 1997, he has a Diploma in Advanced Clinical Optometry from the European University of Madrid (2005).
- Since 2015 he is Fellow of the European Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FIAOMC) and since 2019 he was appointed Co-Chairman of the European Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control leading the process of “Fellowship in Orthokeratology” (FIAOMC) and currently of the “Myopia Management Certificate” (IACMM) of that academy for Europe and South America.
- Most of his professional work is developed in his Center in Alcalá la Real (Jaén). He is a regular speaker at conferences both nationally and internationally, highlighting his participation in congresses on contactology both European, South American on and in the prestigious American congress Vision By Design in 2018, 2023 and 2024, just arrived.
- Since 2016 he has been collaborating with the University of Granada as an external contactology lecturer for the Master of Research in Optometry and Visual Optics (MIOOV).
  
  Currently his work is very focused on advanced contactology and especially in the control of myopia, combining his work in his center with the University, teaching specialization courses and collaborating with various companies in the sector as a trainer and consultant.
